PRIVACY POLICY · DEVELOPMENT DRAFT

Your images.
Your call.

This draft explains what the current website does, how the planned app is designed to handle information, and what must be confirmed before release. The app is not publicly released and live photo analysis is not enabled.

Last updated: 2 November 2026 · Effective date: to be set before release

Before you rely on this policy

The publisher’s legal name, privacy contact, hosting configuration, vision provider and its retention terms, production service locations, and final app release settings have not been confirmed. The app must not enable photo analysis until those facts are verified and this policy and the in-app consent notice are updated.

1. Who is responsible

ToneGrain is a working product name. The legal entity or individual responsible for the service (“publisher,” “we,” “us”) and a monitored privacy contact have not yet been supplied. Those details, including a postal address where required, will be added before public release. Do not treat the working name as a confirmed legal identity.

2. What this website collects

This preview consists of static pages. It has no account registration, contact form, advertising pixel, analytics script, embedded social widget, or app download. When you request a page, the website host and network infrastructure may receive ordinary technical request information such as IP address, time, requested path, user-agent, and response status to deliver the page, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults. Whether these records are retained, for how long, and by which provider depends on the final hosting configuration and must be confirmed before public operation.

The site does not ask you to submit guitar photographs or other user content. Do not include sensitive information in a URL or send it to an unverified contact.

3. Information the planned app stores on your device

The app is designed to keep your selected photographs, analysis snapshots and evidence, notes, favorites, saved work, lightweight guitar records, and free-use counter in local app storage. The app does not require a named account for these local features. These records are not intended to be uploaded to the publisher’s database or stored in Cloudflare D1. Uninstalling the app or clearing its local data may remove them; the availability of operating-system backups depends on your device settings.

The app can create a ZIP backup that you choose where to save or share. The archive is not encrypted by the app. Anyone who can access the destination or the archive may be able to read its contents, including photos and notes. Choose a trusted location and protect the file. Import is a local operation and previews archive contents before applying them.

4. Camera and photo library access

If you choose to take or select a picture, iOS may ask for camera or photo-library permission. You can decline access and use only the options the operating system makes available, or later change permission in iOS Settings. Revoking analysis permission in the app is designed to block future photo submissions. The app prepares an image for analysis and may compress or crop it based on your choices. A crop you select becomes the submitted image; a separate overlay is not retained as analysis evidence.

5. Optional AI photo analysis

Live analysis is currently disabled in this development preview. In a future release, if enabled, an analysis request you initiate would send the selected JPEG image or images and limited request context from your device to a stateless Cloudflare Worker, which would forward the request to a third-party vision provider. The Worker is designed not to save user photos, notes, archives, or analysis results in a user-content database. The provider may process the image to return the requested analysis. Its identity, processing location, retention, use for model improvement, and deletion terms are not yet verified and will be named here before the feature is enabled.

Do not submit photographs containing faces, documents, serial numbers, location clues, or other information you do not want processed by the provider. Photo content may reveal information beyond the guitar itself. The app should show a clear notice identifying the provider and applicable handling terms before the first upload. If that notice is absent or the provider is not identified, analysis must remain unavailable.

6. Purchases and service providers

The planned app may offer subscriptions or a one-time purchase through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Purchase processing is handled by Apple under its own terms and privacy disclosures. The current app implementation is designed to use RevenueCat’s anonymous purchase identity for offerings and entitlement state; it does not supply a publisher-created user ID. If RevenueCat is active at release, its role, data handled, and links to its current privacy information will be disclosed here. No purchase is available through this website preview.

7. Why information is used

Information is used only to provide the page or app feature you request, protect service availability, respond to support requests once a contact is configured, process an optional analysis or purchase, and meet legal obligations. The final policy will identify the applicable legal bases where required by local law. We do not currently operate behavioral advertising or cross-site tracking on this static preview.

8. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by infrastructure providers needed to serve the website, Apple for app distribution and purchases, RevenueCat if purchase services are enabled, and the identified vision provider if you explicitly request photo analysis. These providers’ actual roles and terms must be checked before release. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to protect users or service integrity, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable law and appropriate notice.

9. Retention and deletion

App records are designed to remain on your device until you delete them, remove the app data, or uninstall the app. A backup file remains wherever you choose to store it until you delete it. The publisher does not currently have a user-content server from which to retrieve or delete your local records. The analysis provider’s retention period is unknown until a provider is selected and verified; this must be stated here before analysis is enabled. Website technical-log retention must also be confirmed with the host before release.

10. Security

We use a minimal, stateless service design for planned analysis and avoid placing provider credentials in the app. No internet service or local device can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device and backups protected, use a trusted network when submitting an image, and avoid including information unrelated to the guitar. Security controls and incident contacts will be documented before launch.

11. Your choices and privacy rights

You can choose whether to grant camera or photo access, whether to request analysis, and whether to create or share a backup. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to complain to a privacy regulator. Because the publisher identity and contact are not yet finalized, this development draft cannot receive or process rights requests. A verified contact and jurisdiction-specific instructions will be published before release.

12. Children

The product is designed for guitar players and makers and is not intended to solicit personal information from children. The final age requirements and applicable parental-consent rules will be specified before release. If you believe a child has provided personal information to the service, use the verified privacy contact that will be listed here after release.

13. International processing

You may access the service from different countries. Website infrastructure, Apple, RevenueCat, or a future vision provider may process information in countries other than yours. The actual locations and safeguards, including any required transfer mechanism, are not yet confirmed and will be described before release.

14. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the product and its providers are finalized. The “Last updated” date will change when revisions are published. Material changes affecting photo processing or other significant uses should be communicated in the app or through another appropriate notice before they take effect where required.

15. Contact

Publisher: to be confirmed before release.
Privacy and support email: to be configured and monitored before release.
Postal address: to be supplied where required.

This is a detailed development draft, not a final release policy. Unconfirmed facts are identified rather than presented as assurances.
